Why is behaviour in the workplace important?

Every place of work has a different atmosphere and an efficient and harmonious working environment is created, largely, by the way people behave in the workplace. I have always been fascinated about behaviour and why some people behave in a certain manner.

I love doing what I do because it gives me the opportunity to identify the behaviours an organisation requires for effective leadership and, through coaching clients, I get the opportunity to explore with my client the behaviours that hinder or excel their performance.

I feel it is important to gain formal qualification in the field I practice. Hence why I am pleased and proud to announce that following an intensive training program, I am now a FIRO-B practitioner and can add this to my area of specialism. The FIRO (Fundamental Interpersonal Relations Orientation) instrument helps uncover the motivations that influence communication style and behaviour in the workplace.
